Your Perth Racecourse Form Guide is your best resource for when it comes to finding out the minutiae of the race day.
It will be a comprehensive list of start and finish times, the names of the horses that are running, the jockeys that will be riding them, background biographies on them and their current odds for winning.
It’s important to know that any one of these things could change and rapidly alter the state of the race, so continually checking your form guide will give you the best chance of winning.
Perth Non Runners
Equally as important as the runners and riders in your form guide are the Perth non runners. This is critical because it may have an affect on what happens to your bet.
If you placed a regular bet on the day of the race and the horse is classed as a non runner then your bet will be declared void and you will get your money back.
However, if the bet was placed as an Ante-post bet (a day placed more than a day in advance of the race) then it will be classed as a losing bet.

The Perth Racecourse history is incredibly impressive when you consider where it is located. Horse racing has been taking place in Perth since 1613. Perth Racetrack opened in the Scone Palace Parklands in 1908 after a drinking law ban was put into place in the North Inch.
Lord Mansfield of Scone Palace offered his lands up for horse racing and it has been there ever since, providing a spectacular backdrop to the racetrack.
Scone Palace, Perth
Scone Palace in Perth (pronounced Scoon) was originally a church and is of incredible historical significance to the Scottish people and to Perth Racecourse itself, as it is located inside Scone Castle’s grounds.
A more comprehensive history of it can be found on it’s Wikipedia entry.
