Windsor Racecourse

Windsor Racecourse is located in Windsor, Berkshire, England and is sometimes known as Royal Windsor.

A Royal Racecourse History

Windsor Racecourse has a distinctly royal history to it. It is located on the banks of the River Thames in 165 acres of stunning countryside and the shadow of Windsor Castle.

Horse racing was run on the site over 700 years ago when it was enclosed as a royal hunting ground.

Flat racing began there in 1866 and jump racing continued all the way up to 1998 before it was discontinued.
